Best Friends is dedicated to helping the animals in our community. Therefore, it is difficult for us to announce that effective immediately and until at least January 15, 2025, we are unable to take owner-surrendered dogs.
Why This Decision Is Necessary:
We are at maximum capacity and have exhausted all resources for accepting surrendered dogs. While there may be emergency situations that compel us to take extraordinary steps to accommodate the most urgent circumstances, they will be very, very few.
Simply put, we have no foster spaces and no pay-for-boarding spaces available for dogs. We will re-evaluate the situation in mid-January to determine how to best proceed then.
